If you do not have a frame with provision for an internally routed seat post, then you are either going to have to fit a dropper post that actuates at the bottom, or manage the additional loop of cable caused by the posts action. The clever folk at Hope Technology have come up with a neat solution, the Dropper Seat Clamp comes with an integrated guide that features a clever ball socket that ensures that the cable never kinks or drags.

The Dropper Seat Clamp is available in two sizes, Ø34.9mm & Ø36.4mm, all the usual Hope colours and weighs just 35g. The guide can be run on either side and offers plenty of fore/aft adjustment to get the cable routing just right.

First Impressions

If your frame does not have internal cable routing, then the £25 Hope Dropper Seat Clamp is the best way to manage the additional hose. The cable can be run on either side; and it takes just two minutes to fit as you do not have to dissemble the seatpost. A very nice solution to an annoying problem.
