OKA & SHAN – Two new Trail Hardtails from Production Privée
With most of the bikes we feature on the website being full suspension bikes, its easy to forget that there is more to the sport than that. Production Privée has given us a refreshing reminder of how rad trail hardtails can be. Hardtails are often overlooked but with the right geometry and parts you can have a wicked bike that is great for shredding and developing skills while being low maintenance and good value!
Based in Andorra and working closely with Cedric Gracia, the company has just introduced two slightly different steel frame designed around 650B wheels. However, with a dropout kit they be converted to 26″! They have been developing and test riding the bikes for months, fine tuning the geometry, paint and style with supreme attention to detail. Built for hard-charging riders, the designers have made sure to make these frames durable and capable with downhill riding as well as pedaling. Production Privée also made sure to include a tapered headtube, Press Fit BB and remove-able drop outs to reinforce their quality frames. Info, photos and action videos can be found below.
