Round #4 of the Tuscan Romagnolo Enduro Race in Pieve Santo Stefano on the 19th of July presented a rather strange competitor for the entire field of riders; heat. 40 degree’s and rising throughout the day, 100 turned up, only 67 riders started due to the intense fireball that emblazoned the sky. The location wasn’t particularly hard either, with only 28km of riding and 1000m in altitude with 3 special stages, but once again, scorching temperatures cracked riders and dust packed trails would’ve made this feel 10 times longer.

Enduro racing may not seem anything other than a mono on mono event, but to get through these incredibly testing conditions, riders came together to pull through and had fun in the process. The fastest men were Giorgio Righi, Marco Mazzi and Fabrizio Agostini and the fastest women were Roberta Monaldini and Anja Mouthpieces. Below is the photo story from the event.
