The Taiwanese manufacturer TranzX is well-known for bicycle components and electrical systems for e-bikes. Now, the Taiwanese company has released details of the world’s first ever wireless dropper post for the OEM market.

TranzX Dropper Post JD-YSP06

The JD-YSP06 is the world’s first wireless dropper post, operated by a 2.4 GHz remote control on the handlebar. This system allows for super easy mounting eliminating problems with annoying cables or complex cable guides. In a nutshell it’s an innovative step forward in the evolution of dropper posts. The telescoping seat post will be available in two versions: 80mm of travel (length 350 mm) and 100 mm of travel (length 400 mm).

Info regarding availability for the aftermarket (and pricing) hasn’t been made public yet.

How will this dropper post work on the trail and how will it perform in a long term test? We will try to get our hands on a test sample as soon as possible to deliver you our first riding impressions. Stay tuned!
