X-fusion enduro race fork 275 650b 29 usd revel 2014-11

At Interbike X-Fusion presented a very exclusive, golden upside-down fork for enduro and all mountain use. The X-Fusion Revel HLR features some interesting tech and an even more interesting price.

With only 200 units scheduled for production, the made-in-the -USA Revel HLR will be offered at an MSRP of $1.776 USD. This highly exclusive fork is offered with a lifetime labour service included in the price.

Due to its upside-down construction, its possible to run the air-sprung fork both with 650B and 29″ wheels. The travel can be set between 140mm and 160mm with 650B wheels, and between 120mm and 140mm with bigger wheels. According to X-Fusion, the Revel weighs in at 2,05 kg.

Separate Bottom Out Spring Control

There is more to the Revel than just shiny bling bling visuals: The new X-Fusion fork features the Dual-Spring Air System that allows adjustment of the air spring rate of the last 30% of the forks travel separately – lots of spring tuning potential! For example, beginners can choose a very linear setting while more aggressive riders can easily increase the bottom out resistance.

The right side stanchion holds the well-known HLR-damper by X-Fusion, offering independently adjustable compression & rebound.

Gold-E-Lock System for Torsional Rigidity

The biggest challenge in designing an upside-down fork is how to make the chassis stiff enough for aggressive riding. To reach this goal X-Fusion uses their own, patented Gold-E-Lock System. It consists of three keyways machined into the inner wall of the fork’s upper tubes, as well as into the fork’s stanchion tubes. In each of those keyways sits a single stainless steel barrel, free to travel up and down within its slots. This creates a large area of contact.

In addition to the Gold-E-Lock System, the Revel has a 20mm LockX thru-axle which adds to the torsional rigidity.

According to X-Fusion, the Revel is far more structurally stiff than any other 35mm or 36 mm chassis on the market – we’re excited for an upcoming review!

Standardmäßig ist eine Bremsaufnahme für 160mm Scheiben montiert, Aufnahmen fppr 180mm und 200mm Scheiben sind ebenfalls erhältlich
