YT Industries unveil their 2020 range – Updated YT JEFFSY, CAPRA, TUES, DECOY and DIRT LOVE models

The infamous German direct-sales giant YT Industries have just unveiled their lineup of models for 2020! Along with stunning new colourways, YT’s 2020 model range also features several major spec changes. Check out what YT have to say about their new JEFFSY, CAPRA, TUES, DECOY and DIRT LOVE models right here!

YT CAPRA 29 CF Pro Race | Black Magic | £4,899

New year, new look!

YT have freshened up all models with a host of new paint jobs. Each bike is available in two colours: stealthy Black Magic as standard and either Titan Silver, Ghostship Green, Dune Grey or Two-tone Blue as the alternative choice depending on the model. On top of their new paint jobs, YT’s trail and enduro models have received SRAM Eagle drivetrains, with the e-powered DECOY now running a 12-speed Shimano setup.

More travel for CAPRA and JEFFSY

So far, YT has always given the JEFFSY CF Pro Race and the CAPRA CF Pro Race a little more travel. In 2020 this will finally be over and the cheaper Specs will also get the travel-upgrade of the Race models. Thus, the suspension-travel is no longer a question of the size of your wallet and everyone can enjoy a better bike. The JEFFSY delivers 160 mm of travel in combination with 27.5 ″ wheels and 150 mm travel as a 29er. The CAPRA even has a whopping 180 mm in the 27.5 ″ version and 170 mm of travel with the larger wheels.

The YT JEFFSY is rolling on MAXXIS rubber!

YT’s popular trail/enduro all-rounder, the JEFFSY, remains for 2020 and another year of fun. The carbon JEFFSY sticks with the same composite frame it received in last year’s update and is available in Comp, Pro and Pro Race specs with frame sizes ranging from S to XXL in both 27.5” and 29” builds. Due to its low seat tube height, riders will be able to choose a JEFFSY length based on their preference and riding style, not the size of the seat tube. 2020 brings some major component updates to the JEFFSY range – all models now run SRAM Eagle drivetrains and MAXXIS tires. Last year, the JEFFSY CF Comp was specced with an arguably under-gunned FOX 34 Performance fork. The JEFFSY CF Comp pictured below is equipped with the stiffer FOX 36 Performance fork up front! It also costs €200 less than last year, with all other JEFFSY models keeping their 2019 prices. On top of that, all 27.5″ models offer 160 mm of travel and all 29″ models offer 150 mm of travel. “But what about aluminium?” We hear you ask. Well, we are excited to see what YT have in store for the near future… Keep your eyes peeled!

The YT DECOY goes Shimano 12-speed

Heads turned when YT released their first eMTB, the DECOY, back in 2019. With YT’s gravity genes, a mullet MX wheel concept and bomb-proof components the DECOY gained a lot of fans last year! The e-enduro machine returns for 2020 with striking new paint options and two models (compared to three in 2019). The flagship DECOY CF Pro Race features a full carbon frame and top-of-the-range components, and the more affordable DECOY Comp gets a carbon front triangle paired with an alloy rear end, as well as a solid spec. Both 2020 YT DECOY models will come equipped with Shimano 12-speed drivetrains! Prices are £4,499 / 4.999 € for the DECOY Comp and £5,999 / 6.599 € for the bling DECOY CF Pro Race.

YT DIRT LOVE for the dirt jump lovers

YT’s longest-running family member, the DIRT LOVE jump bike, returns to celebrate the German brand’s heritage. The DIRT LOVE is an interesting choice for anyone looking for a do-it-all bike to ride dirt jumps, skateparks and pump tracks. It is only available in one build which looks pretty damn rad and comes in at £1,199 / 1.399 €.

Our thoughts on the new YT Industries model range

So, that’s YT Industries’ 2020 range all wrapped up. We love the awesome new paint jobs and spec updates, and YT’s pricing is as great as ever! Their lineup of bikes is cleaner and more overseeable than last year, however, a few models look like they are still missing. You may be wondering where the aluminium JEFFSY and the other DECOY models are hiding… Well, we’ve heard there might be more news to follow shortly, so keep your eyes peeled!
