Enduro2 Les Arcs Pairs Race – Entries open 28th February
Entries open at 18:00 GMT on February 28th for Enduro2, the event that delivers lift-assisted stage racing in teams of two in the French Alps this summer. Check out the press release below for more info:
We’re excited to announce one of the best mountain biking destinations in the world, Les Arcs, as the host resort. Stages Cycling now powers the Enduro2 event, and join Vango, Shimano and Fox Racing Shox as supporters of the 3-day race.
“Les Arcs is the ideal setting with its efficient lift system, huge 2,000m vertical drop and amazing singletrack from high Alpine down through mature forests to the valley floor” says Ali from event organisers trailAddiction. “We’ve wanted to do an event like this for several years, and things have finally fallen into place. The racing in pairs format will bring an extra dimension, and Enduro2 is going to be one of the most fun things you can do on two wheels”.
TrailAddiction (the team behind Trans-Savoie) have been guiding in the Les Arcs valley for 13 years, and know every centimetre of the terrain. State-of-the-art machine built Bike Park terrain, together with a mind-boggling quantity of secret paths and ancient trails ensure the riding is perfectly suited to the blind racing format, and the timed Enduro2 stages will challenge riders of all abilities.
“We’re so looking forward to being a part of Enduro 2,” said Matt Pacocha, Stages marketing manager. “Some of our brand’s most enthusiastic supporters are the pros who train for, and race, enduro on Stages Power. On top of training hard with power, our meter can be a pacing tool to complete the liaison ‘Stages’ without wasting too much energy… and, of course, we love shredding in magical locales too, so we’re looking forward to joining the adventure.”
The first ever Enduro2 event runs from Saturday 27th June to Monday 29th June 2015. Entry details, application, prices and availability can be found at the trailAddiction website.
Entries are to be submitted in teams of two – one entry form per team. The entry window is 24 hours from 18:00 GMT on February 28th – a random selection process will be used. Year 1 capacity is 200 riders and we have a pairs-matching service for individuals wishing to hook up with a new riding buddy – email for more details.
