Last year, Lapierre released a product line up that featured some of the most radical and opinion dividing developments! Highlights included the e:i electronic shock system, 1×11 drive trains as standard, and they were one of the first manufacturers to drop 26 inch options from their trail and enduro lines. This year Lapierre have made smaller changes to the line up, mainly focusing on the e:i Shock and the build kits.

Perhaps one of the biggest changes is to their e:i Shock system, replacing it with the new e:i Shock Auto. The new Auto system promises the same performance advantages as the outgoing system, but does away with the LCD display to help clean the cockpit and reduce exposure to impacts.

The new e:i Auto Shock retains the 0.1 second response time and 3 sensitivity settings, but is now presented in a more robust and low profile design.

Lapierre have also released their ‘Ultimate’ program, allowing the customer to choose saddle, seatpost, platform, wheels and drivetrain from a number of options on the online configurator. Currently this will be available on the Zesty AM and XR models with more to come over the year.

Lapierre have also dropped the Formula brakes and will now be supplying all their bikes with the new SRAM guide brakes or Shimano i-spec. The new bikes will also feature the SRAM Roam/Rail UST or the new RaceFace Turbines, replacing the Easton complete wheels of old!
