The Oregon Enduro Series believes that the overall experience is the most important part of enduro racing. Having fun is as important as the competitive aspect of our events. The multi-stage gravity enduro format combines the best parts of riding with your buddies and ripping down some of the best trails in existence, with that of some good old-fashion competition. Courses require a balance of both technical bike-handling skills and physical fitness components to participate. The goal is to provide a level playing field for both climbers and descenders so top all around athletes can be crowned. Plus, the enduro format offers a great experience for serious competitors, weekend warriors and those who just want to enjoy the world class mountain biking with an après-ride festival atmosphere.

This year the series stays at the existing five race venues–Hood River, Bend, Cold Creek (formaly known as Camas), Ashland, and with Mt.Hood/Sandy Ridge rounding out this five-race enduro championship points series. As always, the goal is to support and celebrate riders, not just racers. All individual series races will have cash and merchandise prizing for top finishers in each category with an overall award ceremony following the season finale race at Ski Bowl. Expect world class courses, camaraderie, epic dirt, raffle prizes, music, and solid local and industry support.

For the opening round on the weekend of June 7-8, Hood River offers some of the most challenging terrain on the West Coast and the views are some of the best in the world! The Hood River race will kick off both the Oregon Enduro Series and the North American Enduro Tour. Hood River’s amazing variety of terrain is a perfect start to the season. This challenging two day event will offer multiple stages on both days. The trails in Post Canyon FLOW naturally through the steep rolling hills between the north side of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. The trails are challenging with STEEP and TECHNICAL rocky sections.

The expo area and home base for the event is at the bottom of the Post Canyon trail network just a few miles outside of town. The area is a scenic wonderland of natural beauty in every season. In addition to being the windsurfing capital of the world, Hood River offers kite boarding and stand-up paddle boarding, mountain and road biking, hiking, whitewater kayaking and rafting, fishing, and world-class skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. There’s something for everyone in the family on race weekend, even if they’re not a mountain biker. You can always find out more info, or to get registered, on the OES website. Races are filling up.
