Not just for the Instagram user Moritz a dream came true as he won the raffle from Specialized. Even for me the last tuesday was a very special day. The Specialized DH Racing team made a stop on the trip from the DH world cup in Fort William to the next race in Leogang a short stop in Holzkirchen / Bavaria. So we had the opportunity to meet Aaron Gwin, Troy Brosnan and Mitch Ropelato, talk with them and go for a nice long Lunch Ride on the trails in front of the bavarian alps – what an honor!
The entire team of the German Headquarter came to welcome the DH-Pros. The group photo was obligatory here. After some small talk it was time for a delicious breakfast.Pastries and sandwiches where served that everybody has enough power for the upcoming tour.Troy, Mitch and Aaron had to write a lot of autographs.Last preparations – Aaron mechanic doing the final touches on the bike of the 2012 World Cup overall winner.Under strict observation Anneke Beerten adjusts the tire pressure of her bike.Mitch Ropelato can’t wait for the start of the tour and had some fun doing wheelies between the parking cars.At the beginning we rode through meadows and fields toward to the forest.Martin Donat from Mountainbike Rider Magazine pursues Aaron Gwin.Aaron Gwin is looking around the corner.Troy Brosnan has obviously lots of fun on the Specialized Enduro 29.A short break. From whatever Benno just telling at this moment, it must be mighty big.Helpful! Troy Brosnan helps Benno who has a flat tire.Marketing Manager Sebastian set the pace with his 29er hardtail. On his home trails he knows every root and impressed all with tremendous speed, especially in technical terrain.Aaron Gwin is being pursued by Moritz the winner of the Instagram raffle.Mitch proves that when it comes to having a good time with friends, the wheel does not matter and obviously had lots of fun on the 29er Hardtail – This is enduro! Also for Anneke Beerten Holzkirchen was a welcome stop on the way to Leogang. The Dutch female rider will start by the 4X World Champs next weekend. We will keep our fingers crossed! The jump into the cool water is a relief at 36 ° C temperature. Aaron shows how it goes.Clearly refreshes he resurfaces.Benno and Mitch also cool down there bodies in the cold river.
The tour with the DH Pros Specialized Racing then ended with a delicious lunch in a real bavarian beer garden. Here I got remembered what really matters in Enduro – have fun and have a good time!
No matter what bike or what riding level you have, in the end it’s about what you make of it. Thus, on this tour the DH professionals had as much fun as hobby rider Moritz, whether on a Specialized Stumpjumper hardtail or Specialized Enduro 29 Fully.
