Press Release | 2015 NS Snabb Enduro Bike
NS has just released a long-awaited enduro/trail model into their lineup, the Snabb which means fast in Swedish! Here is the press release with all the details you want to know:
Finally. Something we’ve been working on for a long time. Blood sweat and tears have been shed but we know it was worth it. Here it is. The Snabb – our new Enduro and Trail bike.
The Snabb was designed with the aim to optimise the following traits: function, weight and reliability. Impressing the public with gimmicks, “patents” and “systems” was not on our list. So here it is – a simple and beautiful platform, light, strong and fast. Many elements of the frame, including the suspension characteristics are inspired by the Fuzz, our new DH frame that has already proven itself on the race tracks.
We managed to build in a good amount of anti-squat into the horst-link design and at the same time achieved our desired suspension curves. The geometry is modern, low, long and slack. We took into account that NS Bikes customers are usually tough, aggressive riders and expect our products to hold up to seasons of abuse. But at the same time we made sure that everyone, including our team riders will be happy with the performance on race day.
The Snabb rolls on 650B wheels and is available in an Enduro (160/160mm) and a Trail (150/140mm) version. The differences apart from the travel are geometry and tubeset weight. Both versions have specifically designed suspension for the intended use. The Snabb is also available as a frame-only option in both versions.
Snabb E1
The Snabb E1 is our top-of-the line Enduro model with 160mm of travel on both ends. It’s fitted with the amazing RS Pike RC fork and features sweet touches like the high-end NS Magneto stem and our brand new Enigma Lite rim. One of the key features is the X-Fusion Strate dropper seatpost with internal cable routing and 150mm of travel, which is not commonly found on production bikes, but in our opinion very important if you really want to use the bike’s full potential on uphills and downhills. The bike is powered by the 1×10 drivetrain with a climbing cog which is a concept that we really dig – it keeps things simple and reliable.
Main features:
– 163mm (6.4”) rear wheel travel
– Rock Shox Pike RC fork
– 1×10 speed setup with 42t climbing cog and 34t narrow
