The Australian Gravity Enduro Series has been a joint venture by NSW/ACT-based mountain bike events promoter Rocky Trail Entertainment and Victoria’s Alpine Gravity. For the 2014 finale they will cooperate with the Cairns MTB Club, one of QLD’s most active mountain bike organisations who will host round six at the infamous Smithfield MTB trail network. Participants from all over the country are expected for two days of exciting gravity enduro mountain bike racing.

Schedule: Training rides 9am-1pm daily; race runs 1-3pm.

Endorsed by Mountain Biking Australia (MTBA), the peak industry body, more than 500 riders have particiated in the five series events across Australia so far and the big race favourites this weekend will be Dan McMunn (VIC) and Rosemary Barnes (ACT), the current series leaders in their respective male and female elite divisions.

With six exciting stages across two days, the final Australian Gravity Enduro Series round will combine neutral uphills with fast and flowy timed descents. The event organisers welcome all levels of mountain bikers and local riders especially, offering elite and expert categories as well as various age divisions. Online registration for competitors will be open via www.rockytrailentertainment.com until Friday, 10 October. Spectator entry is free.
