José Antonio Díez Arriola has claimed victory in the first round of Open EnduroAstur, held on the 17th April in El Entrego, Asturias/Spain.

Unlike last year, when the race was played out on snow, this time the weather was kind to riders and spectators, with everyone enjoying a sunny day! Although the ground was still waterlogged from all the rain over the previous week and riders had to deal with a fair amount of mud. The 164 riders who started the race had to face a real challenge, and to make it even more difficult to choose the correct tyres, the four special stages were on varying terrain, from the muddy and slow TC1 to the dry and fast SS3.
