Rutar with second win in a row

In the mens competition, the fastest rider on all five stages was Nejc Rutar (Unior Tool Team), who allready won the race in Cerkno, so he is really showing a good shape and seems to be hard to beat in this season. The nearest rival was Kristjan Medvešček (Blackthorn GT) with 19 seconds gap behind the winner. The final spot on the poduim went to another rider from local Blacthorn GT team, Peter Mlinar, who was in the finish with another 15 seconds gap behind the silver. Zupan with a nice winning comeback after injury

Womens race was promising an interesting conclusion. The leader and winner of the last race, Lilla Megyaszai (Cube Csomor, HUN) was not present due to XC european championships, so Nina Rupnik (Orbea Geax) took the leaders position in front of Saša Bevk (Pedal Racing Team), who always knows how to surprise. Ana Zupan (Energijateam.com), who won the first race in Trieste, was coming back from an injury after she broke two of her ribs on national cup XC race, so bet on any of her would be risky. At the end, Ana showed that she did quite a nice job with her recovery and she won all five stages of the day. Nina managed to finish on second place, while Saša had some mechanical problems and she had to be happy with third sport.
