Who will stop Florian Nicolaï? Boosted by his stunning 3rd place ont the chillan Enduro World Series, the RockyMountain Urge rider did a new show of his force on last Sunday, April 27th, during the Enduro des Merveilles (which means Wonderful Enduro in french).

Third round of the Urge 1001 Enduro Tour 2014, third victory and mostly eight special stages wins over eight special stages raced since the beginning of the season… Suffice to say that HE is the new enduro boss on French Riviera !

After more than 22min racing, Nicolaï took the win 48 seconds ahead of Adrien Dailly (first podium on the Urge 1001 Enduro Tour) and 59 ahead of Olivier Giordanengo. On the girls side, Julie Duvert took her first victory, accompanied on the podium by Sabine Cruvellier and Séverine Bardet.

But beyond the purely sporting aspect, the Enduro des Merveilles was the place of three awesome timed single-tracks, wet but particularly beautiful, in Saint-Dalmas’chestnut and Tende’s pine forests. Between earth and leaves, but also on pavements and through bunker, a flowy enduro event and lots of of pleasure to launch the alpine season in South of France!
