Pearl Izumi, now part of the Shimano family of cycling equipment, has completely redesigned their mountain bike clothing line. Even if you purchased Pearl clothing last year, you might want to give it another look. Frankly, we were a bit disappointed with a pair of shorts from last summer, and only worn for a year. But things are looking vastly different for the 2015 line, and have us excited.

Pearl Izumi has been producing outstanding clothing on the road side of cycling apparel for many years, so they know what they’re doing. It just took a first generation of mountain bike clothing to realize that things aren’t the same up in the mountains or in the woods.

Take a look through some of the offerings from Pearl Izumi. New colors, new graphic patterns and new materials used in different styles look promising. We will be getting a full set of test clothing and shoes, so check back to see what we love and don’t love.
