RUMORS Canyon Stepping up the Game in Enduro Racing
Canyon’s current race bike is the Strive
2013 will be the year of enduro racing! Racers and bicycle brands are very enthusiastic about the upcoming season with the Enduro World Series leading the way. The latest rumors suggest that there will be a famous and (of course) very fast French rider moving to German direct-seller Canyon, which only recently added Joe Barnes to their newly formed Enduro Factory Racing Team.
It’s already official that Ines Thoma, Marco Bühler and Joe Barnes will be riding for Canyon in 2013. Rumors say that the team, lead by team manager Tibor Simai, is supposed to have seven riders.
If the rumors prove to be true, Canyon will have a very strong team for the 2013 season, with strong characters and highly experienced racers. Upon request of the involved parties we decided to take down all the rumors waiting for an official press release whether these rumors verify or falsify themselves.
Who will be their new team member? Time will tell – there is expected to be an official statement from Canyon mid-February. But one thing is sure: More mountain bike legends will enter the game this year to fight for the first overall title of the EWS. It’s going to be exciting!
