How cool would it be to have a jacket that keeps you warm and dry, that’s breathable and also looks elegant and that fits in every backpack? After a long search, Valentin finally found one – it’s the SCOTT Trail MTN Dryo 30! After more than six months of continuous deployment, these are Valentin’s conclusions.
Rain jackets are the one thing Valentin always wants to buy but ends up never buying: they’re either too thick, too ugly or so hot that he would fry in it. With their Trail MTN Dryo line, the people at SCOTT want to crush the cliché of conventional waterproofs and offer good-looking and yet functional rain-gear. The MTN Dryo 30 softshell jacket is designed as an outer-layer and according to Valentin, it offers all the advantages of a 3L jacket: you can use it in all seasons without looking like a noob while walking down the high-street.
Making this possible are SCOTT’s “DUROshade”, “DRYOsphere” and “DUROxpand” technologies. This means that the fabrics protect against the sun, water and wind while remaining breathable. According to Valentin the fabric’s elasticity provides both comfort and the freedom of movement you need when riding on the trails. Valentin wore the Dryo 30 on long trail-sessions but also around town and on endless hikes with his girlfriend — and he could even imagine wearing it on the ski slopes if needed. Whatever he’s been up to in the last eight months the SCOTT Trail jacket protected him from the wet — inside and out. You can wash the jacket in the machine at 30°C but you should keep it well away from the tumble dryer or the ironing board. You can get your MTN Dryo 30 in three different colours at a price of € 179,95 from any official SCOTT dealer or online-store.
The SCOTT Trail MTN Dryo 30 jacket fills the gap between a stylish rain jacket and a functional outdoor garment. Thanks to its relatively small packing size and huge versatility it has become an integral part of Valentin’s equipment.
