The perfect Trip: Fun, Adventure & Action – this describes the holiday with the Enduro mountain bike magazine in the beginning of September!
Join the team of the Enduro mountain bike magazine, including the director Robin Schmitt as well as photographer Christoph Bayer, in South Tyrol where you can explore the best trails of the area and test the bikes extensively.
The Bikehotel Steineggerhof near Bolzano is especially quiet and offers a breathtaking view of the Dolomites. Here biking is lived. The owner Kurt Resch knows the local trails better than almost any other and will go riding with you on the guided tours. For over 17 years, Kurt offers bike tours and has guided countless professionals and beginners on the best local trails. A safe and well-equipped bike workshop space in the hotel is included to give you the chance to setup your bike perfectly.
An incredibly diverse singletrack network runs through the holiday region of Val d’Ega. During the week we’re going to the most spectacular routes around the Dolomites mountains Rosengarten, Latemar and Schlern. We will use bike taxis and cable cars as climbing aids as often as possible but you have to be prepared to ride steep uphills or carry your bike on some of the tours. Lonely Trails and a gorgeous panorama needs some work!
There can be around 50 km of riding and 1200m climbing on some days. At some tours you have to be prepared to carry your bike around 300m up too. This Bike-Week is not for Amateurs, because during downhills there will be very technical and demanding sections.
Ideally, you ride a trail bike (approximately 140 millimeters of travel) with good wheels and tires. Light protective equipment (knee pads) are required. Knee and shin guards can be hired from the hotel Steineggerhof.
