Originally we wanted to clear our heads before visiting Eurobike, but by the looks of it, even on our home trails we were not safe from 2015-News. We met Fabian Scholz from the Focus Trail Team, who was carrying an interesting new EVOC Backpack Stage 12L with him. Luckily, we had our camera with us.

On first sight the new back system is worth mentioning: elaborately created air cooling elements, that lie behind a net, reduce the contact surface of the back and enable the air to circulate, even when the bag is full.

The Brace Link connecting parts between belt and packsack are new too. Small aluminium connecting parts with holes make it easy for the belts to fit to the size of ones shoulders. Additionally, the Brace Link can be worn in combination with a neck protector.

Of course there are further well-known EVOC features such as the hipbelt, a fleece pocket for glasses, and hydration-system compatibility.
But the Evoc Stage 12L still remains very light, we assume the unladen weight is less than a kilogram.
