It seems that the majority of us aren’t just sticking to what’s beneath our tyres anymore, with a huge number of trail enthusiasts expanding their shredding vocabulary and hitting the mistress of the land, the waves. Located in the rolling hills of Massa Marittima, Tuscany, Bike ‘N Kite have created an event to bridge the gap between these two awesome sports and from the photo’s it looks awesome!

Bike ‘N Kite is a collaboration between Massa Vecchia and Surfrelax, two companies which have been working in the tourism sector for years, specifically riding and surfing. This new “combination” is designed for everyone to witness the beauty of this piece of Maremma (Tuscany), which is located between the hills of Massa Marittima and the beaches of Follonica and Scarlino.

The event was created to give the opportunity of “taste” this combination itself; Massa Vecchia is a bike hotel which is celebrating 30 years of activity, offered the accommodation, with availability of rental bikes, equipment and use of the pumptrack.

Surfrelax, surfing school with twenty years of experience, offering instead his two beaches school points (Castiglione Della Pescaia and Puntone) and the rent of all the necessary equipment.

You don't get this anywhere else. Riding both kite and bikes, then relaxing in a bar directly on the beach.

All this was topped by two exceptional athletes, putted together by the same sponsor (ION): Leoluca Scurria bike athlete, experienced between downhill and enduro, among the top 15 in the Italian ranking (Dream Team Genova Ancillotti ); Matchu Lopez, directly from the small island of Cape Verde, ION official, among the top 10 in the world kite ranking.

The participants (restricted to 10 members) were followed during the w-end by these two athletes, riding the most beautiful trails in the area and taking advantage of the wind (The famous Mistral) to catch the waves of the Gulf.

No matter what your sport, this is what it's all about. Chilling out, relaxing with your buddies after a great day out. Is there anything better?
