The second enduro event of the 2013 California Enduro Series is scheduled for this coming Saturday, April 27, in Los Olivos, CA.

The 2013 series, which kicked off in Southern California earlier this month with the highly successful PCA Enduro in Riverside, moves northward to the Santa Barbara area, with the VP/KALI EnduroFest at the Dirt Club.

“Getting the CES off the ground with such a dedicated group has been very exciting and I look forward to it growing with more great people and events. The VP/KALI EnduroFest at the Dirt Club is going to be a great race for people to experience the fun and camaraderie that this format can provide,” says Erik Saunders, VP/KALI EnduroFest Event Director. Erik gives a brief overview of his event and a teaser of the course on this video:

The VP/KALI event promises to be fun day of racing and is sponsored by an impressive list of industry leaders. The entry fee delivers 8 timed stages and a big day on the bike. Grilled tri-tip sandwiches and beers for all, with the fastest riders well rewarded with cash or prizes.

Just 5 minutes off the 101 near Santa Barbara, the VP/KALI EnduroFest boasts easy access. Racers can come in for the day or opt to camp at the course Friday night to pre-ride the course and beat the race-day registration rush.

Consisting of four events showcasing the amazing diversity of California’s terrain, the 2013 California Enduro Series offers something for everyone.

After its second stop in Los Olivos, the series will head to the Sierra mountains for its third event Sunday, June 30 at China Peak Mountain Resort in Lakeshore.

“China Peak is relatively unknown to most mountain bikers, but with the amount of elevation, lift-access, and available terrain, it has the potential to host a killer enduro event. I’m really looking forward to putting this one on!” says Evan Turpen of the China Peak Mountain Resort.

The series then heads to the coast for the finals on October 12-13th in Santa Cruz, California.

“Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz is stoked to bring the Santa Cruz Super Enduro back to the Demo forest as a 2 day event with a larger more inclusive field. We are building on the success and momentum of the Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival to create a fun atmosphere and a wicked event that riders will love! We are honored to be the season finale of the California Enduro Series and we’ll put on a great celebration for our first year as part of the series.” says Mark Davidson, President of Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz.
