SANTA CRUZ, CA – December 12, 2012 – With the 2013 race season fast approaching, a dedicated group of riders, event promoters, and professionals have joined forces to create the California Enduro Series.

The California Enduro Series will host four major mountain bike enduro events in 2013 showcasing California’s best trails and venues. The series will bring a consistent, high-quality, and high-profile enduro racing experience to the state of California and give the riders, industry, and media a premier series to follow.

“Enduro racing is growing immensely worldwide and is set to explode. When I saw the lack of a major enduro race series here in California, I knew something had to be done and had to be done right,” says Evan Turpen, executive director of the California Enduro Series.

With this new series comes great responsibility. Luckily, the California Enduro Series is a for-riders, by-riders operation that has its finger on the pulse of enduro. The ultimate goal is to create world-class enduro events that everyone from pros to amateurs can enjoy and showcase the amazing locations that make California one of the best places to mountain bike on earth.
Slated for early Spring/Summer 2013, the official schedule will be released in January 2013.
