Drop it like it’s hot: seatpost news from Eurobike 2016
New 2017 X-Fusion Manic Dropper Post
X-Fusion have always championed function at an affordable price and their new Manic dropper post ticks all the right boxes. The heart of the post is a new replaceable sealed cartridge with an internal floating piston – a tried and tested design. The head is low profile, allowing you to squeeze in more travel if space is short on your frame. We were most impressed with the actuation mechanism, which due to a clever linkage, is effortlessly light. A return spring ensures the highly adjustable remote lever feels light and extremely smooth. The post will be available with a 125 mm drop in 30.9 and 31.6 sizes, but we are sure a 150 mm will follow. Weighing it at 610 g the Manic will retail for €199.00.

FOX debut their Transfer dropper post at the show.
We have been riding the new FOX TRANSFER Dropper Post for the last 10 weeks and have found it outstanding. The infinitely adjustable design has a choice of both internal and external routing and in both 30.9 and 31.6 mm standards. The choices don’t stop there, three drop options 100 mm, 125 mm and 150 mm and two lever options, a slimline grip remote and a more ergonomic under the bar remote complete the lineup. The post features a totally new hydraulic system (the post is still cable actuated) with a self-adjusting pressure relief valve to help maintain consistent action and reliability. There are two models available, a Factory Series (€369) with a Kashima coated upper post and a Performance Series (€319) with a black anodized upper post.

9Point8 Fall Line 200 mm Teleskopsattelstütze
9Point8 caused quite a stir when they revealed their Fall Line dropper post last year, instantly claiming the top spot in our group test. At Eurobike 9Point8 showed two new options for the Fall Line, a version with 175 mm and one with impressive 200 mm of travel. Riders with long legs who fancy the additional freedom of movement will have to dig deep in their pocket though – the price of € 599 is no bargain.
