ENDURO Long-Term Test 2014: Specialized Camber Expert Evo 29
The long-term test bikes of most of our test riders now have been presented, with only a few left to be revealed. Today we present you with the Specialized Camber Expert Carbon Evo 29, the agile trailbike of Max, managing director of ENDURO. With the 120 mm bike he will manly ride his home trails around Stuttgart.
The Specialized Camber EVO 29 is the fun-oriented version of the Camber, so has an extra 10 mm of travel (120 mm), and also comes with a 1.2° slacker steering angle than the “non-Evo” Camber. In addition, the bike is optimized with a stiff RockShox Pike fork, a 1 x 11 drivetrain and a wider 750 mm handlebar for maximum performance on the trails.
Being 183cm tall I have chosen the Specialized Camber Expert Carbon Evo in a size Large. With an inseam length of about 89 cm I had to pull the Specialized Command Post IR with 100 of adjustment to the limit immediately to get an optimal pedal position. To improve this I will fit a post with a little more travel to still have a plenty of room to move on the downhills.
My focus for 2014 is the addition of some weekend trips, spending as much time as possible with the Specialized Camber Expert Carbon EVO on our local trails around Stuttgart.
