five ten kestrel (1 von 1)

Jury Verdict

Five Ten has put serious work into the new Kestrel SPD shoes and you can feel it straight away. The 840 g (size 9) clipless pedal model scores with a great fit and shape, but also with the BOA lace system which allows the rider to easily adjust the fit whilst on the bike.
The concept of using different durometer rubber compounds on the sole really works: thanks to the well-chosen rigidity and the typical Five Ten soft rubber at the heel and toes, the Kestrel also offers great grip and good shock absorption when walking. The harder mix around the cleat ensures it is easy to clip in and out of the pedals.
