FOX presents superlight 32 SC XC-Fork

With their new 32 Step-Cast (SC) FOX presents their lightest cross-country fork ever. The Fox 32 SC features an entirely new lower leg design and weighs in at an amazing 1,355 g (27.5″). All detail directly from Fox:

Starting at 1.355 g, the 32 Step-Cast (SC) fork is our lightest cross-country fork ever. Optimized for 100 mm of travel, the Step-Cast lower leg design and narrow crown spacing save weight while the 32 mm upper tubes maintain FOX ride quality.

FOX 32 SC Chassis Design

The distinct shape of the lower leg design isn’t just for looks. The 32 Step-Cast (SC) chassis uses a narrow stance to save weight and the step design makes room for the spokes and brake rotor. The 32 SC features 32 mm upper tubes and ample bushing overlap for a quality ride and the hollowed out lower legs provide even more weight savings.

The Damping of the FOX 32 SC

FOX offers the 32 SC with the well known FIT4 damper cartridge but also introduces a brand new damping system called FIT GRIP. Inspired from moto, the new GRIP damper uses a sealed FIT cartridge technology combined with a coil-sprung, independent floating piston. GRIP allows excess oil to purge through specially designed ports at the top of the damper to maintain consistent damping and increase durability. Performance Series forks provide Open, Medium, and Firm modes with additional micro-adjust between settings.

The Air Spring of the FOX 32 SC

The FOX 32 SC comes with a Float Air spring which a positive and negative air chamber which is self-equalizing. The rider can adjust the spring curve in the mid stroke and ending stroke by adding volume spacers.
