News | New Parts from RIDE ALPHA: Extra Cog Kit and More
Commencal’s high bike quality and reputation is well known and most of their bikes come equipped with parts from their own components brand RIDE ALPHA. Now RIDE ALPHA have extended their portfolio with a number of new products. Read all the details about the components in Commencal’s press release below:
We are always continuing to develop our range of RIDE ALPHA components. Between ingenious ideas and a re-worked design, there’s indulgence too. Like the icing on the cake, delivery on the whole RIDE ALPHA range (excluding wheels and handlebars) is offered across all EU countries. This offer extends to our range of casual and technical clothing too (excluding socks).
Extra Cog Kit
The kit includes a 1×10 speed narrow wide ring (available in 30, 32 and 34t) used to replace a conventional 2×10 or 3×10 transmission through 1×10 speeds while maintaining power and velocity.
The benefits include one ring, no more front shifter, no more front derailleur and fewer cables. The bike becomes lighter because the transmission is minimised. Enjoy the ride without worrying about the rest!
The kit includes a RIDE ALPHA narrow wide ring (technology that all but prevents the chain from jumping) in Aluminium 7075 T6 CNC to full 104mm standard. The ring is available in 30, 32 and 34t. It has a black anodised finish for durability, with a laser logo.
Cassette-wise, the kit includes an extra 42t full CNC cog, which compensates for the fact that the small ring has been removed. As for the 16t cog in CrMo steel ED with black finish, it replaces the 15 and 17 teeth. Finally the specific B-tension screw optimises the derailleur adjustment to accept the extra 42t cog.
