The RS-1 surprised and impressed us with both its performance and weight after testing it during the past year. Enough so that it won a Gold Award in the Design & Innovation Award 2015! We couldn’t believe how stiff and robust the damping could be when charging down terrain where we would normally expect a fork of this weight to struggle. Rockshox has just released a special edition of it to the European market, check it out!

25 years after changing mountain biking forever, RS-1 is back.
To celebrate this iconic product and the RockShox brand,
which are once again changing the way we look at mountain
bike suspension, we are offering a Limited Edition RS-1 with
special decals that hint back to the original 1989 RS-1
graphics and colors.

A chassis design never seen before, which integrates the fork’s steerer tube,
crown and legs into a single carbon fiber upper. The all-new
Accelerator Damper, which combines incredible small bump
performance with an ultra-efficient lockout. Predictive
Steering, a reimagined interface between hub and dropouts
which enabled us to create an inverted fork light enough for
XC racing and stiff enough for trail riding
