News: Scott Sports is New Title Sponsor of Enduro Cup
Big announcement from the good folks over at Enduro Cup. Scott Sports has agreed to be its new title sponsor. The goal of the partnership is a long-term vision to enhance the sport of Enduro racing, build brand identity, and to foster a broad enthusiasm for bike riding among juniors and adults alike. Enduro Cup is a Mountain Sports International (MSI) property.
“We are proud to partner with MSI to become the title sponsor of the Enduro Cup. The attention that Enduro racing has gained over the past few years reflects the excitement for the sport among aspiring and experienced athletes alike,” remarked Scott Sports Marketing Director Nic Sims. “We are excited to be a part of this growing discipline as we look toward the future of the sport.”
The first Scott Enduro Cup presented by GoPro race of the season will return to the Magnificent 7 trail area in Moab, Utah on May 3.The race will cover approximately 17.5 miles of red rock terrain with 1,800 feet descending and 650 feet ascending. There is a $2,500 prize purse for the open divisions split evenly between men and women. First place riders of the amateur divisions will be awarded registration to the next two Enduro Cup stops to encourage the development of up-and-coming Enduro athletes. The weather forecast calls for hot and sunny. Bring your sunscreen and cold beverages.
A raffle will also take place at the awards with prizes donated from the event sponsors. All raffle proceeds will benefit Grand County Trail Mix, a nonprofit organization, which has been instrumental in the development and maintenance of the Magnificent 7 trail system and surrounding areas.
