Set in the midst of the stunning Andes mountains, an ancient Inca culture and of course Machu Picchu, there is no question that the Inca Avalanche is more than just another race, it is a life experience! Up to 200 riders from over 13 countries will start at 15,000 feet in altitude and race to the finish line 5000 feet below. The race course has been described by many as “one of the best trails ever”. The post-race award ceremony features a jump jam and fills the town square with locals and tourists alike. It is no wonder why year after year, riders of all disciplines flock to the ancient city of Ollantaytambo, Peru for the epic riding, huge mountains, rich culture and of course the event itself.
