Race Report: Kellys Enduro #3 – Zawoja, Poland

Zawoja (Pol) was the second stop of the Kellys Enduro, which is a part of the Joy Ride Open Series.
Joy Ride Open is a series of MTB contests containing the Joy Ride Downhill, Kellys Enduro, and the Karcher Dual Slalom. The series began on 6th June in Kluszkowce, Poland where 150 enduro riders were competing through three difficult stages. The fastest was Mariusz Bryja from Zakopane who, in amazing style, sped through the forest for victory.

On the first weekend of July Mariusz Bryja was starting again, this time in the second stop of Kellys Enduro which was held in Polish village of Zawoja.

Beautiful views and two natural tracks filled with steep descents, mountain streams and narrow passages provided the setting for the weekend’s competition.

Surely one of the most amazing riders was Roman Kwaśny who, at the beginning of second stage, had a flat tyre but refused to quit. Inspired by Aaron Gwin, Kwaśny, in awesome time, finished race and was announced the champion of the Master’s Catagory.

Mariusz Bryja in the Elite Catagory was second as this time Arek Perlin was the festest man on the track.
The next race will held from the 27th till 28th of September in Zakopane, Poland. Arek and Mariusz will be competing for the first place in the general classification and a brand new bike Kellys Enduro 50.
