After the success of the first event this year, The Ghost Road Enduro mountain bike race, held on the southern section of The Old Ghost Road in New Zealand will be held again on 16 January 2016.

Competitors will be flown by helicopter from the Lyell, deep into the South Island’s West Coast backcountry to Ghost Lake Hut. Entrants can expect to see a similar style race to the one staged earlier this year with several changes to keep things interesting

“This format of racing is generally reserved for those with a higher degree of technical skill and ability but we pitch our event at those who enjoy the staged racing but come for the backcountry experience and adventure”, says Walker.
