Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series #1 Terlago – Prologue Results

With a time of 1:26.956 Michal Prokop won the prologue of the first stop of the Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series in Terlago. He will start with a lead of 1.554 seconds in front of Marco de Col and Martino Fruet (+2.165) – Martino raced on a hardtail! The fastest women was Anneke Beerten (1:39.700), Antje Kramer in second (+9.789) and Raphaela Richter in third (+11.729) place. In the masters category Remo Heutschi has been 0.682 seconds faster then 4x world champion Joost Wichman and Nino Antic (+0.843). Direkt nach dem Start folgte ein 200 Meter langes Tretstück - Tretstärke war gefragt.
Directly after the start a 200 meter pedaling section waited on the riders.
Doch auch fahrtechnisch ging es zur Sache - genauer gesagt, mit Highspeed durch ein ausgewaschenes Bachbett mit einigen Stufen.
In this prologue the riders also needed some good downhill skills.

Die Top50 Fahrer starteten zum Schluss, warteten entsprechend schon etwas länger - die Wiese am Start bot zum Glück Gelegenheit zum Warmfahren.
The Top50 riders started at the end, and had to wait a bit longer – the meadow at the start luckily offered the opportunity to warm up.
Spätestens beim Tretstück direkt nach dem Start wurden dann alle Fahrer wieder warm.
After the pedaling section everybody was warmed up.
Die Fahrer gaben alles - jede Sekunde zählte.
The riders showed 100% commitment – every second counts.
Ein schneller Kies-Abschnitt endete in einer Bachquerung mit großen Felsen - hier gab es zahlreiche Platten und sogar einige defekte Laufräder.
A fast gravel section ended in a stream crossing with large rocks – there were numerous flats and even some broken wheels.
Ein malerischer Hohlweg spuckte die Fahrer im Zentrum des beschaulichen Terlago aus.
A picturesque ravine spat the riders in the center of the little Terlago village.
