167g. These Reverse RCC 750 carbon bars weigh just a tad over three Snickers bars, but the 129 € bars from the Black Forest are said to be able to hold their own in the turmoil of enduro riding – or at least, as long as the rider doesn’t weigh more than 100kg. “I have to admit I was a bit skeptical,” was longterm tester Aaron’s initial thought. “They’re 70g lighter than the Bontrager Rhythm Pro carbon bars that I used to ride, and those were far from heavy! But hey, let’s see…” And see we did, as the Reverse remained in one piece, comfortably surviving countless races and more than a few crashes. “I definitely rode the RCC 750 right on the limit of what the manufacturer recommends, and I didn’t encounter any problems. The opposite in fact: the positioning (9° backsweep, 4° gradual upsweep, 18mm rise) was really great and I liked the gentle flex, particularly on long mountain race stages,” concludes Aaron.
