Trek announce new Remedy and Fuel EX Bikes
Hot on the heels of the Trek EX Fuel Plus launch back in May, we had a feeling something new was coming. But today Trek are launching not one but two new bikes, an aggressive trail 29er, the Fuel EX 29, and a hard hitting reworking of the popular Remedy 27.5.
Both bikes see big changes in geometry, longer lower and more aggressive than the previous bikes. You can read our exclusive first ride of the Trek Fuel EX 9.9 and Trek Remedy 9.9 RSL to find out what’s new and our thoughts on the new bikes.

Trek Fuel EX Plus and 29 Range
The new Trek Fuel EX 29 adds to the Fuel EX 27.5 Plus models that were released in May. All models feature the new Straight Shot downtube to boost stiffness and strength and Knock Block keyed headset that ensures that the bars cannot spin fully round and damage the frame. The new model is slacker and longer than the outgoing Fuel EX and is an altogether more aggressive beast that will only be available in 27.5 Plus and 29 models. Trek Remedy 2017 Lineup
The new Remedy has also been given the ‘make it rowdier’ treatment, growing longer, lower and slacker, and gaining 10 mm of travel in the process, now upto 150 mm. This pushes the bike further into Slash territory, and could be a very popular ‘do it all bike’ for those who like to challenge themselves in tough terrain. Like the Fuel EX 29 it also features the Straight Shot downtube, and retains all the features that have made previous Treks great, like the Full Floater suspension, ABP, Mino Link Adjustment and Control Freak internal cabling.
