In collaboration, German brands BikeYoke and Reverse Components are presenting a neat upgrade for dropper posts: The shifter-style “Triggy” remote was designed for the use with 1-by drivetrains and can works with most dropper posts as well as Canyon’s Shapeshifter. All details in the official press release:

Most of the current dropper posts feature a thumb actuated button style remote, which works vertically. This design lacks the ergonomics that riders are used to and leaves the remote exposed to crash damage. This is where Triggy comes into play. The full aluminum remote sits in the place of a regular front derailleur trigger under the handlebar -perfectly placed for clean looks, ergonomic shifting-style and well protected in case of whatever happens if you can’t manage to stay on your bike.

Compatibility of the BikeYoke Triggy

The remote has been tested for over a year with most of the common cable actuated dropper posts, including:

  • KS (Kindshock) (LEV, LEV Integra, Supernatural,..)
  • Race Face Turbine
  • 9Point8 Fall Line
  • Easton Haven
  • Specialized Command Post
  • X-Fusion Hilo
  • Thomson
  • Canyon Strive: Shapeshhifter

If you are running a different dropper post not listed above, please contact BikeYoke for further compatibilities. Triggy also works as a remote for Canyon Strives shapeshifter. The remote directly mates with SRAM’s matchmakers and there will also be adapters for Shimano’s I-Spec B and I-Spec II available separately. The I-Spec B plate can be flipped to have the arm facing left or right. Two threads in the remote body allow fine positioning to the inside or outside.

If – for whatever reason – you don’t want to combine it with your brakes you can also use a regular trigger clamp and attach it to the handlebar as a standalone solution.

The black-anodized remote will be available in July. It retails for 50€ (excl. VAT), including a new cable inner and an integrated cable tensioner and will be available at your local dealer or online at BikeYokes or at all Reverse Components Dealers
