At the starting point

One month after season’s starting at Dolceacqua (Italy), the Urge 1001 Enduro Tour stopped at Sospel on April 16-17th for the second round 2016 of the French Riviera enduro serie. And what a round: the Beverally! An ultra-enduro composed with no less than 9 stages, 80km and 3800m of elevation split in two days and using the nicest trails of this area. Soil, sand, leaves, rocks, switchbacks, roman roads, wall-rides, and globally amazing trails prepared with love… An enduro ultra-pleasure organised by Sospel-MTB, which was definitely hard, but most of all so nice and generous… Unforgettable for the 175 participants (9 nationalities) and perfect for a passionated race between local top rides (Nicolas Vouilloz, Julien Camellini, Adrien Dailly, Alexandre Cure, Rémy Quillévéré, Mathieu Gallean…). 15second slower than a phenomenal Julien Camellini in the 1st stage, Nicolas Vouilloz entered in hunting mode from SP2 to catch the gap and take the leadership after stage 4, when Camellini crashed and Alexandre Cure had mechanical problems (+1min44). Flying to the win, he has been roughly stopped on stage 8 by a rock garden that cut his rear tire and forced him to cancel. Back ahead, Julien Camellini just had to leave his talent make the job to reach the finish line, win the race in front of Alexandre Cure and Rémy Quillévéré, and take the leadership of the serie. Hopefully, the Lapierre Gravity Republic crew is revenged by Adrien Dailly who win the e-bike race in front of Julien Poomans and Cyril Page. And finally, that’s Julie Duvert who was the fastest girl, followed by Nadine Sapin and Mary Moncorgé.
