Winning pictures: The best of the Flow Valley Photo Contest
Last Summer the Flow Valley Team brought out an invitation to their facebook followers to participate in the Flow Valley Photo Contest.
80 entrants werde recorded and so 35 teams of two – one rider and one photographer – were sent out into the Flow Valley to shoot the best picture in the two categories „best spot“ and „best flow“.
The Flow Valley region includes the mountains around Tegernsee, Lenggries, Blauberge, Jachenau, Walchensee and the Vorkarwendel. Additionally, the „Flow Valley South“ with it’s mountains around the Achensee were opened fort he photo contest as well.

The teams of two rushed into the organisators inn „Altwirt Lenggries“ at 8 o’clock in the morning for registration. Everybody was in a hurry, since heavy thunderstorms were predicted for lunchtime. So half an hour later all teams were registred and prepared, so they started to their personal spots in all cardinal points oft he Flow Valley to have their photos shot. Single requirenment: to be back by 6 pm which was the last chance to provide the pictures.

So although the light was not perfect, all teams handed over very interesting photos. A jury of six people, all members oft he bicycle industry were choosing the three best shots within the two categories „best spot“ and „best flow“. In the meantime all participants had fun chatting about their today’s tours while having burgers and beer in the inn’s beer garden.
At 9 pm all winners are elected. But before they are announced, all pictures of the day were presented to everybody and the audience voted additionally their favorite picture of the day.
