German brand Propain Bikes adds an all-new trailbike to their product range. The “Twoface” will replace the current “Headline” model and features the same suspension platform as the “Tyee” enduro bike but with 145 mm of travel, a different geometry and lighter tubes.

When you look at this bike for the first time, it’s obvious where the name “Twoface” comes from: Propain uses an unique two-colored design with different colors on each side of the bike. But it’s not just the looks, but also on the trail where bike shows its two sided character: easy and lightweight on the uphills and a real weapon downhill.

Schwarzes Bike
“The dark side” – the drivetrain side is colored black with white decals. The pictured model still has the old “Headline” lettering on the seatstays, the finished product will have the new name of course.
Weiße Seite
On the other side the new propain is white with black decals. It’s a matter of taste (or mood?) which side you prefer – we kind of liked both, the Twoface is lookin good!

Geometry

As already mentioned, the bike will be positioned as a more trail oriented alternative to the proven Thyee, so it has an altered geometry and 27,5″ wheels. The Twoface will be available in four different frame sizes (S – XL) – here is an overview of the most important geometry data:

On our short testride, the Twoface knew how to please. Almost no power gets absorbed by the suspension, resulting in an efficient straight-forward propulsion. An in-depth review is coming soon, watch this space!
