ACROS Popular Carbon bars

acros-1
acros-7 acros-6

The German brand ACROS have been diligently building up their reputation for high-quality bearings, headsets, and pedals, and now they’ve branched out into stems and one set of carbon bars, completely ‘made in Germany.’ At 190 g, the 780 mm bars are irrefutably light and—if we trust its Zedler impact certification—seriously strong. They’re got a very clean design without any paint or markings on where to mount – you’ll need a ruler or detective-style eyes to fix the bars properly in the centre. Plus, you’ll have the same issue if you want to shorten them. Coming with either a 15 mm or 25 mm rise and either a branded or stealth design, the Popular carbon bars have a 35 mm clamping diameter, 8° back-sweep, and 5° up-sweep. After a fairly complex process to mount the stealth bars, they served the bike brilliantly, offering a superb playoff between stiffness and comfort. Weaknesses? Not in terms of its strength or flex, but the decals came unstuck fairly early (although ACROS assures us that this won’t affect the latest models).
