Overcoming all obstacles – riding with one arm by Tommy Wilkinson

Ever wondered why pro photographer and film director Tommy is always in a sling? In 2013 Tommy suffered a paralysed arm after crashing badly on some secret jumps. He severed his complete brachial plexus from his spinal cord, fractured his skull, suffered a spinal cord contusion and a bleed on his brain. Since then, with help from Tom Wheeler and Tom Bannister, Tommy has modified his bike to work around his loss of an arm and get back to riding. We take a look at his bike and run through what he’s added to his bike to make it “one-armed friendly.”
