In addition to some optical changes to make the frame look lighter, the real weight of the frame was also reduced: The new carbon frame is more than 500g lighter then its predecessor. The weight for size M is about 2800g (w. achsle, seatpost and rearshock). The carbon frame is used in the higher priced models while the cheaper variants still use an aluminium frame.
