SCOTT Soldier 2

END 033 Knieschoner Test Review SCOTT Soldier 2 7 1140x760

The SCOTT Soldier 2 combines a wholesome D3O protector with an exceptionally light shell. The fit is rather large, and most of us will get away with going with one size smaller. In the lab the Soldier 2 delivered a solid performance–so good, in fact, that it equals the performance of some heavy-duty models. Ventilation is good but a few testers weren’t too happy with the fit. With a strapless design, it is sadly inevitable that the Soldier will slip down slightly over time. The combination of a very thin outer material with the heavy padding seems a little unbalanced, and in terms of its design we were more taken with other concepts. However, if the Soldier 2 fits you well, you’ll get a great combination of protection, ventilation and lightness.
