Pedros Folding Repair Stand

Montagestaender Workstands Mountainbike E Mountainbike Pedros Folding Repair Stand Test Review 1 von 11 1140x760

The Pedros is a true monster amongst repair-stands. It is by far the heaviest model in our selection but the extra weight also offers extra stability. The massive tubing and the steel-beam-like upper column give the Pedros the same kind of stability that the Park Tool PRS-25 offers. For the clamp, Pedros went their own way – a clever trigger-grip gradually brings the clamp jaws together while a small flip-switch allows for decoupling of the clamp to release the jaws or push them together. The rear locking mechanism relies on a solid anti-slip rubber-knob which works smoothly but lacks the speed and precision of the PRS-25. If you are looking for a durable and sturdy stand to use at home the Pedros is an excellent and even so slightly cheaper home workshop alternative to the Park Tool PRS-25. However the heavy weight makes it a poor option for “on the go” scenarios.
