DMR Vault Midi and Flangeless Deathgrips

The DMR Vault flats pedals are awesome, nailing the perfect concave and support they took top honours in our 2016 group test. However, for riders with smaller feet, or those who ride in super rocky trails, some thought they were a little big. For those looking for something a little more compact, the new DMR Vault Midi pedals rock the same Vault platform but in a 10 % smaller size, now 95 x 104 mm. The 17 mm profile, concave, pins and cage support are all identical to the full-sized Vault and they cost the same at € 149.99

The new DMR Vault Midi (on right) is 10% smaller than the conventional DMR Vault.
Both pedals feature the same 17 mm profile, and pin pattern.

It’s not only the Vaults that have had a reworking, the super popular DMR Deathgrips have received some attention too. For those that were not moto enough to handle a flange on their grip, DMR have now released a flangeless version, which is available in all the DMR Deathgrip colours in both thin and thick, for the same price of €18.40. Those with good eyesight will also notice a special red-clamped Deathgrip, this is the new super-soft Race Edition which is noticeably tackier than the standard model. The Race edition costs € 21.65 and is only available in black.
