Specialized Enduro S Works 2018 Freisteller 1140x632

The Specialized Enduro is an absolute cult bike and has already been comprehensively revised last year. For the 2018 season, however, the Enduro has gotten a few small updates making it fresher than ever. Probably the most important change is the increased reach; the Enduro 29 grows by 5-13 mm in length and the Enduro 27.5 by as much as 13-19 mm. An entirely new addition is the geometry adjustment flip-chip in the shock extension, with which the head angle can be slackened by 0.5 ° to 65.5 ° for the 29er and 65 ° for the 27.5er, while the bottom bracket drops by 8 mm. Speaking of wheel size, Specialized has tried to match the riding feel of the two bikes as close as possible, the Enduro 27.5 becoming a bit more progressive than before. The new shock extension together with the flip-chip can be retrofitted to the current 2017 Enduro.

Apart from updated geometry, the 2018 range will be specced with a few new components. Particularly worth mentioning is the new Command Post IRcc WU seat post that uses a unique mechanism to tilt the back of the saddle downwards when fully inserted, to put it in a position similar to a DH bike. Although the dropper post has a nominal stroke of only 115 mm, it is said to provide as much freedom of movement as a 150mm dropper would. Also, the S-Works, Pro, and Coil models come with a new SWAT tool that is sunk into the head tube.
