Trek Bikes with Thru Shaft Shocks

Trek Remedy 2018 1 von 3 1140x760

Trek had already renewed their complete trail and enduro portfolio of the past season and put on three absolute highlights with the Fuel EX, the Remedy and the Slash 29, which are at the forefront in their respective categories. So it is little surprise that no changes have been made to the three frames for 2018, but Trek would not be Trek if they were to rest on their laurels. For 2018 the top Slash 9.8 / 9.7, Remedy 9.8 and Fuel EX 9.9 models get an entirely new damper technology, which they claim will be setting the bar.

Since 2014, Trek has been speccing their top end bikes exclusively with RE:active shock absorber technology from motor sport suspension specialists Penske Racing. The new RE:active Thru Shaft dampers will be ringing in the next round of a thus far successful cooperation. The Thru Shaft shock absorbers are designed to function without an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) or a gas pressure spring – providing better and faster response and overall improved performance.
