Pipedream Moxie

Pipedream Moxie EUROBIKE 2017 003 1140x760
There are no words…………. Ok………….the new Pipedream Moxie is red hot.

WARNING the following content not suitable for under 18’s. You may not have heard about Pipedream cycles, but the small Scottish company had this outrageously naughty Moxie hardtail on display. The bike is so new that this is the only one in the world and is still yet to be ridden, but well, just look at it! The Moxie frame-set will cost around €700 and is made from 4130 heat treated steel. It’s not just the paintwork that’s in-your-face either, the geometry is out of this world. It will be available in two models, long and longer with reaches of 470 and 510 mm respectively, with a 65.5° head angle 76.5 degree seat angle, and adjustable 415 – 431 mm chainstays. The seat tube length is the same on both bikes allowing riders to choose on reach.

Chainstays are adjustable from 415 – 431 mm, wild.

The frame is dripping with nice design features, such as the symmetrical BB yoke that wraps around the BB shell and the absence of ugly gussets in the head tube leaving an ultra clean look. The bottom bracket drop of – 64 mm is low enough to shave the earth, so expect ridiculous cornering forces and most probably lots of rock strikes. Our #thegeometryaffair feature showed that there is something in steep seat angles and long bikes, but with the Moxie’s crazy compact rear triangle how will it ride? We are going to enjoy finding out – review incoming.

Huge mud clearance mean that both 29” and 27.5+ wheels can be fitted.

The lack of Gussets on the head tube give the bike an ultra clean look.
