In addition to the steel frame, the Pionion C12 transmission is another highlight of the bike.

If you are looking for an enduro hardtail, now is the chance to secure a real work of art at a discounted price – the Portus Cycles Krowd Karl. This noble steel hardtail is hand built in small batches in Germany. It comes with the new, lighter Pinion C12 transmission and is currently open for pre-order on Kickstarter. If you want to, you can build the bike up with a Gates-Carbon Drive for a maintenance free riding in all conditions. It’ll take a chain too, of course! Managing director Alex designed the frame geometry to be trail orientated, confidence inspiring and playful, basing on the extremely durable yet forgiving Reynolds 853 tube set. The Krowd Karl can be ridden with both 27.5″ and 29″ wheels. A total of four sizes are available. The steering angle for all models is flat 65°, the reach in size large is 450 mm. Small details, such as the serial number individualized with the initials of the purchaser, make every frame unique. Alex has already reached his funding goal, so act quickly before it’s all sold out.
